佐々木活字店さんを訪れる: I visited to SASAKI Printing Type .co

少し前に佐々木活字さんにおじゃましてきました。
見学させてほしいとの僕の申し出にそれじゃあ僕の手キンを
佐々木活字さんで見てみようということになった次第です。
I  had visited SASAKI PRINTING TYPE .co last week.
My proposal to observe and study, they agree and examin my letterpress machine in addition.



佐々木活字さんといえば東京の新宿にある大変古くからの活字屋さんで
活版印刷をする人達の間では「わからないことがあったら佐々木さんに聞け」
と言われるほどの活字の老舗だそうです。
SASAKI PRINTING TYPE .co is one of the most oldest Printing Typeand company in Shinjyuku, Tokyo  and has long history.
It’s said that the persons who concern with Letterpress in Japan say if you are at a loss what to do, you go and listen their word.

カウンターには僕も持っている本が置いてありました。
お客さんが美大の先生でその方の著書だそうです。
At counter in the shop, there is the book I have also.
The writer of the book is a custommer of the shop, they said.

まるで見たことのない風景にびっくりです !
それはまるで『バベルの図書館』です !
The surprised scene I have never seen !
It’s like“Librely of BABEL” !

棚の中には活字がびっしり はいっています !

There are many printing type in the shelves !

僕の手キン: Letterpress Machineです。車で持ってきました。

佐々木さんはじめMasterたちに

「いい手キンじゃないの !　クロ塗りのベンツだよこりゃ !（笑）」

とからかわれ若輩の我が身ではなにも言えず……（笑）

ちょっと古いけど使える手キンだそうで。よかったです。

年式でいうと国産の手キンの中では初期型のものでかなり古く50年前のものだそうです。

My Ltterpress machine carried on my car.

“It’s good !  Like a Mercedes ! ”. They laughing and joke to me.

They said that it’s old type on made in Japan letterpress machine, about 50 years old, be very usefl, however.

メタルベースや罫を切る道具などいろいろありました。

There are metal base,  line ctter, and so on.

やっぱり古いもの、歴史あるものは迫力があると感じると同時に

ますますLetterpress: 活版印刷が好きになりました。
また来てしまいそうです。
見学させてほしいとの申し出にも快く応じてくださった上に
手キン: Letterpress Machineまで見てもらって感謝の言葉もなかった一日でした。

I was inpress by old and historical style of Printing Type and letter press way,  more and more love in Letterpress.
I would sure come again to  SASAKI PRINTING TYPE.
