データづくり: Digital Data Making

最近また暑いですね。
今日はデータづくりのことを。
It’s hot day !
I’ll write Digital Data Making today.

PCでのデータづくりは現代の活版印刷をするには欠かせないことのようです。
活字を組一字づつ組んで版をつくる従来の組版に加えて絵柄等も同時に入れることができ
表現の幅が広がるというのが現代活版印刷では主流のようです。
とは言うものの活字を組んでプリントするというのは基本の知識でこれを知らないと
現代活版印刷もおそらく難しいとも思われます。
LBPは活字のことでは佐々木活字さんにお世話になっています。
いろいろと難しいこともありますがひとまず抜きにします。
It’s necessary for Contemporary Letterpress to make digital data by PC.
It’s said that an extension of expression is a mainstream of Contemporary Letterpress, in addition to Traditional Letterpress that choose metal type word by word and set the type.
One hand, Traditional way is the base of Letterpress, so it’s difficult to do the Contemporary way without Traditional.
In Traditional Letterpress, I often listen to SASAKI PRINTING TYPE co.
Apart from involved thing for the present.

今回はウェブで使うマークの作成です。もちろん印刷でも使います。
This time, the making of MARK for web site. So useful for Letter press

いろいろな方法があると思いますがLBP（LadybirdPress）ではラフスケッチを描いて
それからデータをつくってゆきます。
In many way,  I have drawn rough sketch first, and make data by PC.

いくつか描いたラフのなかで気に入ったものを選びました。
四季のものを入れた絵柄です。
絵が下手なのはご容赦ください wwww

ラフはコンピューターのソフトとペンタブレットを使って描きました。
鉛筆で描いたみたいでしょ。優れたドローソフトです。
これを別のソフトに読み込んでCGにしてゆきます。
これをベースに線をなぞったりしながら整えてゆきます。
I made this by a drawing application and pen tablet.
Won’t you think it’s by real pencil ?  It’s excellent application !
Read in another appliation, make CG by trace and drawing.

やっとできました。
これにロゴなどをいれて
Finish !
And add the Logo....

完成しました。
complete !

これを製版で樹脂版にして印刷機で刷るというのが流れです。
活字組版と樹脂版による活版印刷には双方によいところがあるようですし
LBPも両方を可能なかぎり取り入れたものをつくってゆきたいと思っています。
Making plate from this data and print.  It’s a series of way on Letterpress.
Contemporary Letterpress and Traditional one, there are good side either, may be.
I’ll make printing including good side of either one.
