ここのこのところ
できあがったカードの撮影をしていました。
カメラはリコーCX5（RichoCX5）です。
マクロがよく撮れるとのことで使うことにしました。
カメラの性能は申し分ないですね。
ただ使う人の腕が………
というわけでかなり苦戦していました。
確かに鮮明には撮れるのですが
なんというか暖かみのようなものや
リアリティーみたいなものが
足りないと感じておりました。

そして作ったのがこの装置。
それでも気に入ったものが撮れませんでした。
そこで自分がどんな写真を撮りたいのかをよくよく考えてみました。
カードの表面の素材感を出したいのと暖かみのある色味。
そうすれば自ずとプレスのレリーフも見える。
そこで二つのランプを買ってきました。

これはLEDのビームランプで色は昼光色。

これは普通のレフランプ。色は電球色。

これが撮影装置。大分シンプルに。卓上サイズです。

こんな感じで光を当てます。
ビームの先に撮影装置があります。そしてレフで天井を照らします。
他の照明はありません。この2つだけ。

大分よくなりました。
紙の素材感とレリーフがよく出てます。
ちなみにこれはスタジオカードです。

These days, I’d been taking photo of goods,

This camera has high performance, however, didn’t take what I wanted.

cause the lack for skill of user.

I wanted something warmness and a reality of paper.

This equipment was born by my hand.

Still in vain.

I pondered what I really want.

First, texture of paper, second, warmness with color.

If so, it come relief of press.

I got tow types of light.

Photo device. Became simple. Desk top size.

Photo device 1 meter ahead beam lamp.

Eye lamp toword ceiling.

No other lighting.

It comes texture and relief.

This is a studio card.

物撮り: taking photo

カードが刷れたので写真を撮ろうと思って
デジカメのシャッターを押しているけれど
ど〜も上手くいかない。
なんかいまひとつよく撮れなません。
やっぱり機材買おうかなとも思ったけど
予算の都合で買えず。
物撮りしてくれるカメラマンなんて
この辺にはもちろんいません。
どうしたものかといろいろ検索していると
ナイスなブログが！
その通りつくってみました。

右にあるのが銀紙を貼ったレフ板。
明日撮ってみます。

I have printed a card, and aimed to take a photo.
So It’s hard to take good one.
There is no one who can take still life photo around here.
I was at a loss what to do and search  for something I want.
I found out.
Good blog !
I made as blog said.
Reflector bord is on right side.
I’ll take tomorrow.

語りかける: speak to

最近はとくに変わったこともなく

刷って  刷って  また刷って

ルーペで眺めて

また刷って

なんてことをしています。

最近気付いたことは

刷ったもの全てに「同じ」であることを求めるのは

人が全て同じであることを求めるのと同じくらい

意味のないこと。

試し刷りやミスプリントさえも

それは確かに祝福されてかされないでか

生み出されたかものだということ。

良いものを追求したいと思うのは

当然のこととして

一枚一枚が違う表情で

語りかけるようなプリントを

できるようになりたいなぁ

なんて最近思います。

It’s calm for several day.

 I print, print, and print.

So look them through rupe,

and print again.

I discovered that all print is equally different.

Want to be same for print is as meaningless as

want to have same personality for all people.

Blessed or not blessed,
even test or miss printing, they have been born by myself.
exploring “best” quality is needed, of course, I would get on the letterpress print that will something speak jently to us.

とりあえずウェブサイトがオープンしました。
本来ならばグッズもたくさんあって
オーダーのお仕事を受けられるようになってから
ウェブサイトをオープンなのでしょうが
まったく逆になっております。笑
オープンしてからつくってゆく。
それでもいいですよねぇ
別に。
もともとなんの知識もどこそこでやっていたとか
なにもありませんから。
笑われるのも怖くない。

これからですね。

so have website is the proper way.
On ladybirdpress, reverse is the case. www
First, open, and will make everything gradually.
Do you think is it not good ?
I think it is nice !
So I don’t have knowledge or skill, and nameless unknown on
Letterpress from the beginning.
I don’t fear being laughed.

All is after this time.

見学：meeting

先日活版の先輩にお会いして樹脂版のことについてお話を聞いてきました。
とある活版のスタジオを少し見学させていただいてから
お茶でした。
話は手キンでの初歩的な失敗談でしたね。
こんな失敗やあんな失敗…etc。

LBPの手キンは日本製の古いものなので
大体の先輩方はそれをつかっていたこともあって
少しだけ話についてゆけました。
代表的なものとしては見当針を版に挟んでしまうこと（笑）

楽しい時間をすごさせていただきました。

結局佐々木活字さんに頼もうということになり新宿へ。
その他名刺やはがきの紙のことも教えていただきつつ
樹脂版をたのんできて昨日はやくも樹脂版がとどきました。

今夜は胴張りの紙を切ったり樹脂版を切ったりの下準備。

明日はプレスです。


The other day, I met older friend on Letterpress.
Visited a Letterpress studio, and hear about plate.
After there, take a tea break, and talk on failure of using platen press.
Variety of failure come from.

My platen press is made-in-Japan,
older friend used to print by same model.
So I could go somehow along with them.
A major failure, caught in the plate the feed guide. www

Had a valuable and good time.

After all, went to Shinjuku, ask and oder plate SASAKI PRINTING TYPE.
And, they instructed me on paper in addition.
So plate reached me yesterday.

I cut packing paper and pepare this night.

 I’ll print and press tomorrow.

絵師さんの絵: Japanese Traditional graphic

先日、ふとしたことからスタジオの近所の着物の絵師さんのところにお邪魔させていただきました。

ladybirdPressがあるあたりは、昔は絹織物が盛んに織られていていたようです。

僕が子供のころにはまだけっこう小さな機織りの工場がたくさんあって

カシャンカシャンと音をたてていました。

絵師さんもたくさんいたらしいのですがもうこの方一人になってしまったそうです。

ふむふむと話を聞きながらきょろきょろと工房を見ていると絵の型紙がありました。

和柄の絵がやはり多いですが丸くなって紋になっていたり扇の型の中に

花がレイアウトしてあったりと大変興味深いものでした。

型をしげしげと眺めているとよほど物欲しそうに見ていたらしく

「欲しいならあげるよ」とのこと !

参考に頂いてきました。

色づけした絵も数点お借りしてきました。

Ladybird Pressのオリジナルの活版カードのデザインの参考にしています。

着物の絵柄つまり日本の伝統の絵柄には実にたくさんのものがあって

それぞれ植物、季節、現象など意味があるようです。

これはグラフィックデザインに関する大きなヒントをいただきました。

I just happened to meet a KIMONO paint artist in my town, the other day.

 Many silk fabrics had been weaved in this town at one time.

There were many paint artist, he is the last one, however.

Listening to his word, I look around and find paper pattern.

The pattern is various and interesting to me and I had been looking hard at them.

So the painter master said “OK, Youmay take them back”.

I thanked him and took them back to my studio.

And more, I borrowed colored paintings.

KIMONO’s graphic has variety of design and mean Plants, Season, Phenomenon, and so on.

I will refer these design to my original letterpress card.

I was given a big hint from KIMONO’s graphic.

お見舞い: worry about

活版印刷:レタープレスのことでいつもお世話になっている人が今日緊急入院しました。
今週予定していた製版屋さんとの打ち合わせにも来てくれる予定だったので
打ち合わせは延期しました。
命に別状はないとのことだけど心配です。
週末お見舞いに行く予定です。

My Older friend he always pay much attention to me on letterpress go into hospital today, who will observe the meeting to plate maker this week.
Of course the meeting has been put off.
It’s not reach his life. I worry about, however.
I should go to see him this weekend.
